Nissan has introduced the all-new fully electric version of its popular Micra hatchback, marking a significant milestone after four decades of the model’s legacy. Designed primarily for the European market, this sixth-generation Nissan Micra EV brings exciting updates in terms of range, performance, and technology. Let’s explore its key features in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
Fully Electric for the First Time
For the first time, the Nissan Micra comes exclusively as an electric vehicle, replacing traditional petrol and diesel options. It offers two battery configurations: a 52 kWh battery that delivers a driving range of up to 408 kilometers and produces 147.5 horsepower, and a smaller 40 kWh battery with a range of 308 kilometers and 120 horsepower. Both battery options support rapid charging, allowing the car to charge from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Stylish Design and Strong Performance
The new Micra sports a playful yet modern design, evolving significantly from the 2018 model. Despite its compact size, the hatchback delivers a robust driving experience thanks to its advanced electronics and the Renault 5 platform on which it is built. Its contemporary look is eye-catching and fits well with the electric vehicle’s innovative character.
Futuristic and Comfortable Interior
Inside, the Nissan Micra EV features a highly digital and futuristic cabin. It offers three unique seating themes—Modern, Audacious, and Chill—allowing drivers to customize their experience. The interior also includes a redesigned steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated navigation system, and two large 10.1-inch displays, enhancing both comfort and convenience for the driver.

Advanced Electric Features
Beyond its electric powertrain, the Micra EV includes useful technologies such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), which lets you use the car’s battery to charge other devices. Additionally, it is equipped with Nissan ProPilot Assist, a cutting-edge driver assistance system that adds safety and ease to the driving experience.
This new Nissan Micra Electric combines style, efficiency, and smart technology, setting a new benchmark for compact electric cars. Although currently targeted at Europe, it raises questions about a potential launch in India in the near future.
